Summer Internship 2018 - Strategy And Business Development

GSB Corporate Strategy & Innovation is looking for summer interns for the following units:

Unit: Strategy Development (London, Oslo or Stavanger)

Contribute to strategy research projects and/or workstreams

Develop insights and contribute to executive briefings and presentations on select strategic themes

Units: Industry Analysis; Strategy Projects (London)

Contribute to strategy and business development projects with a focus on the external context and potential implications for Statoil

Prepare reports and presentations to be used for strategy briefings to the company senior management team

Unit: Commercial & Negotiations (Stavanger, Oslo)

Contribute to developing our online repository for business development (BD) processes and documents, known as the “BD’pedia toolbox”. This may include improving and adding modules, maintaining records of agreements, producing learning material, structure databases, create and build links as relevant et cetera

Participate in BD improvement projects to challenge the team from an academic as well as from a futuristic angle

Participate in ongoing BD projects


Norway-based positions:

No more than 1 year of full time relevant experience (please note research under a PhD are not be considered relevant experience)

Have completed at least 2 years of relevant bachelor studies by the time of the commencement of the internship, and are currently enrolled in a relevant study programme

UK-based positions:

Have completed at least 2 years of relevant bachelor studies by the time of the commencement of the internship, and are currently enrolled in a relevant study programme

Good understanding of the energy industry, ideally with commercial and analytical experience from within the industry

Execution of high standard and robust information gathering, analysis and presentation of complex issues in a swift, clear and concise manner

Ability to prepare clear and visually attractive presentation material

Impeccable skills in English (spoken and written)

Ability to work in multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural environment

High ethical awareness and integrity

Service-minded team player, proactive approach

Display professional approach and behaviour
